Every September, Glossop returns to its Victorian past.  For a weekend, the town centre is closed to traffic, and street shows, fairs and sideshows take over. Many people join in the spirit by dressing in Victorian clothes - some may have been left them!  Unfortunately, the spirit of Victoriana does not run to Victorian prices, but then we can't have everything. These pictures were taken in 1998, but they could be from any year.
